Supreme Court Lets 2 New Biz Owners Join Health Fight

Law360, New York (January 17, 2012, 4:30 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday agreed to allow two small-business owners to join the fight against health reform following a revelation that one of the plaintiffs in the case had filed for bankruptcy and lost her business.

In a Jan. 4 motion, the National Federation of Independent Business said that it was seeking to add the two small-business owners as plaintiffs “out of an abundance of caution to eliminate any possible standing dispute” surrounding Mary Brown.
