Roche Unit Loses In Arbitration Over Merger Of Medical Cos.

Law360, New York (March 13, 2012, 4:48 PM EDT) -- An Indiana federal judge on Monday approved an arbitration award against a Roche Group unit that ended the medical manufacturer's bid to stop its software provider Medical Automation Systems Inc. from selling out to a Roche rival.

U.S. District Judge Sarah Evans Barker entered judgment against Roche Diagnostics Corp. — a part of Swiss pharmaceutical and health products giant Roche Group — in accordance with a sealed final arbitration award that the parties' arbitrator submitted in October.
