Greenberg Traurig Dropped Ball In Patent Appeal, Suit Says

Law360, New York (March 26, 2012, 9:34 PM EDT) -- Greenberg Traurig LLP failed to properly counsel lockmaker Wyers Products Group on the risks of rejecting a settlement offer in a patent fight during an appeal to the Federal Circuit, according to a suit removed to Colorado federal court Monday.

The suit, which also names Greenberg Traurig attorneys Mark L. Hogge, Laura M. Klaus and Robert P. Charrow, accuses the firm of botching an appeal of an $8 million judgment by advising Wyers not to accept a settlement offer from Master Lock Co. LLC.
