New Zealand Promotes Trade Chief For WTO's Top Seat

Law360, New York (December 21, 2012, 7:39 PM EST) -- The New Zealand government has nominated Trade Minister Tim Groser to succeed the World Trade Organization's outgoing director-general, the nation's prime minister announced Friday.

Prime Minister John Key said that New Zealand has nominated Groser to replace existing WTO Director-General Pascal Lamy when he steps down from his post next year, saying that the trade minister had been proposed as a successor “with the New Zealand government's blessing.”
