Dem. Wants Repeal Of $500M Amgen 'Fiscal Cliff' Gift

Law360, Washington (January 23, 2013, 4:21 PM EST) -- A Democratic congressman from Vermont introduced a House bill Wednesday that would repeal a $500 million Medicare exception windfall for Amgen Inc. and other kidney care companies that was included in so-called fiscal cliff legislation, saying taxpayers had been stuck with the company's tab.
