YKK To Fight Zipper Cartel Fine

Law360, New York (December 7, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Three months after European regulators hit a slew of haberdashery companies with nearly €330 million in fines for anti-competitive practices, YKK Corp. is reportedly set to fight for a reduction of its portion of the penalty.

The Japan-based YKK plans to file a plea with the European Court of First Instance in Luxembourg to seek to scale back the €150 million fine slapped on it by the European Commission in September, Kyodo News Service reported Friday, citing sources familiar with the matter.
