Fla. Appeals Court Revives HMO Negligence Suit

Law360, New York (July 18, 2013, 5:15 PM EDT) -- A Florida appeals court on Wednesday revived a negligence suit alleging health maintenance organization HealthSpring of Florida Inc.’s delay in authorizing the transfer of a stroke patient from one hospital to another for an urgent surgical procedure caused him to suffer a second stroke.
