Samsung Seeks AIA Review Of Fractus Antenna Patents

Law360, New York (October 7, 2013, 7:45 PM EDT) -- Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. asked the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Friday to invalidate four antenna patents that Fractus SA has accused Samsung's phones of infringing in two separate suits, including one in which Samsung was ordered to pay $38 million in damages.

Samsung filed four separate petitions seeking inter partes review under the America Invents Act, claiming the patents are obvious in view of prior art.
