Law360, Wilmington (October 22, 2013, 6:20 PM EDT) -- Universal American Corp. launched a suit Tuesday in Delaware federal court alleging its $222.3 million merger partner for APS Healthcare Inc. fraudulently induced the transaction, a day after APS accused Universal of bullying the company with unfounded contract breach allegations connected to the merger.
Universal says that APS, also known as Partners Healthcare Solutions Holdings LP, and other sellers knew the business was disintegrating, but went ahead and fraudulently induced the deal anyway.
