Former Dewey Chairman Takes Middle East Appointment

Law360, New York (January 2, 2014, 5:54 PM EST) -- Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP’s former Chairman Steven Davis has begun a new gig as chief legal adviser to Persian Gulf sheikdom Ras Al Khaimah, Davis' representative confirmed Thursday.

According to a memo reviewed by The Wall Street Journal and first reported Tuesday, Davis was appointed early last month as the government’s chief legal officer by Ras Al Khaimah’s current leader, Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi.
