Sanofi, Merck To End European Joint Vaccine Venture
Law360, New York (March 8, 2016, 2:35 PM EST) -- Merck & Co. and Sanofi SA are disbanding their joint vaccine venture in Europe, the companies announced on Tuesday, saying that they plan to go their separate ways by the end of the year after more than 20 years of working together.
Upon ending the partnership, known as Sanofi Pasteur MSD and owned equally by both companies, they plan to integrate their respective European vaccine businesses into their other operations and independently pursue their own strategies on the continent. The breakup is expected to be completed by the end of 2016, subject to local labor laws and other regulations, the companies said....
