Brazil Seeks WTO Probe Into U.S. Cotton Subsidies

Law360, New York (August 8, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Brazil said Tuesday that it plans to ask the World Trade Organization to probe whether the U.S. is eliminating subsidies to cotton growers, just days after the U.S. government repealed a cotton subsidy program criticized for giving American exporters an unfair advantage over developing countries.
