A Massachusetts federal judge on Friday sanctioned Thomas & Solomon LLP for submitting false affidavits in which hospital workers claimed in a class action that they had personal knowledge of a Catholic hospital network's payroll and timekeeping policies cheating them of overtime wages.

A Massachusetts federal judge last week dismissed a class action accusing the Caritas Christi hospital network of improperly paying overtime to 12,000 employees, saying in a bench ruling that the plaintiffs' claims were insufficient under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
