Lexmark's Sales Abroad Didn't Exhaust Patents, Judge Rules
A federal judge ruled Thursday that Lexmark International Inc.'s sales of inkjet cartridges outside the U.S. did not exhaust its patent rights, holding that a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling that foreign sales exhaust the rights of copyright holders does not apply to patent law.
