Judge Reverses Precedex Patent Invalidation Following Deal
A New Jersey federal judge on Thursday vacated an order invalidating one of the patents asserted in Hospira Inc.'s suit challenging a bid by Sandoz Inc. for approval of a generic version of Precedex, following a settlement recently reached between the parties.

Hospira Blocks Sandoz's Generic Precedex
One of two patents asserted in Hospira Inc's. suit over Sandoz Inc.'s bid for approval of a generic version of the sedative Precedex is valid, and Sandoz is barred from selling the proposed generic until that patent expires in July 2013, a New Jersey federal judge said Monday.
