Merck Picks Up Another Win In Fosamax Bellwether
Jurors returned a verdict Friday in favor of Merck & Co. Inc. in one of a handful of bellwether cases alleging the company’s osteoporosis drug Fosamax can cause bone rotting in patients’ jaws, marking the third win for Merck out of four such cases.

Fosamax Judge Restricts Bellwether Trial Evidence
The judge hearing one of the bellwether cases in multidistrict litigation alleging the osteoporosis drug Fosamax caused a bone-rotting condition in the plaintiff’s jaw has elected to bar the plaintiff from introducing evidence of Merck & Co.'s conduct after March 31, 2003.

Merck Targets Experts In Next Fosamax Bellwether
Fresh off a victory in another case over Fosamax, lawyers for plaintiff Judith Graves on Tuesday battled Merck & Co. Inc.'s efforts to prevent her physicians from testifying at a possible trial that the osteoporosis drug caused a bone-rotting condition in her jaw.
