A group of investors recently won $26.5 million in damages in a long-running legal dispute over a failed Las Vegas hotel and casino venture after a Texas federal judge found they had been wrongfully squeezed out of the deal, the group's attorneys said Tuesday.

Investors told a Texas federal judge Wednesday he should sanction a marketing company that played a role in an allegedly fraudulent deal to buy a Las Vegas casino with a $149 million default judgment and put an end to the case, which the judge compared to a Charles Dickens novel.
