A California federal judge on Tuesday threw out a lawsuit brought by a former production assistant for director Oliver Stone that alleged units of the Walt Disney Co., ABC Inc. and others had stolen ideas for the TV show "Ugly Betty" from her screenplay.

Units of the Walt Disney Co., ABC Inc. and others asked a California federal judge on Friday to toss a suit claiming they stole ideas for the TV show "Ugly Betty," saying the plaintiff has refused to cooperate with discovery in the case.
