A New Jersey federal judge is standing firm in long-running litigation accusing Bankrate of trying to run a smaller rival out of business, saying Friday that she wouldn't reconsider her decision to end the 13-year-old saga in favor of the larger rate provider.

Bankrate Inc. has asked a federal judge to reconsider throwing out a set of antitrust allegations made by its smaller rival BanxCorp claiming Bankrate unfairly monopolizes the market for bank rate listing tables, in light of the judge's recent order compelling BanxCorp to amend its insufficiently pleaded complaint for the fourth time.
