An Illinois federal judge handed WellPoint Inc. summary judgment Monday on the last remaining claims in a putative class action alleging it bungled coverage for former Rightchoice Managed Care Inc. customers after it bought that company, rejecting the plaintiffs' liability arguments and ending the suit.

An Illinois federal judge on Thursday trimmed a number of claims from a putative class action accusing several WellPoint Inc. units of unfairly overcharging or cutting off coverage for former Rightchoice Managed Care Inc. customers after purchasing the company.
