An Arizona homeowner who accused National Gypsum Co. and Lowe's HIW Inc. of selling defective drywall dropped a putative class action against the companies on Wednesday, but left the door open to file new claims.

A federal judge has let stand the core product liability claims in a putative class action against National Gypsum Co. and Lowe’s HIW Inc., but he trimmed claims for breach of implied warranties and unjust enrichment in connection with the allegedly defective drywall.
