Validity Ruling Sparks Rolls-Royce Jet Engine IP Suit
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has upheld a finding that Rolls-Royce PLC’s patent for a widely used jet engine is not obvious in light of a United Technologies Corp. patent application, spurring Rolls-Royce to launch an infringement action against its aerospace rival.
