A New Jersey federal judge on Thursday said that Takata Corp. must repay at least some of the fees incurred by a safety testing company through multiple lawsuits over allegedly faulty Takata seat belts, reversing course after an original ruling temporarily left the auto parts maker off the hook.

SGS Testing Co. on Monday told a New Jersey federal judge that embattled auto parts maker Takata Corp. should indemnify it for suits accusing it of negligently testing Takata's seat belts, saying the manufacturer should be on the hook for the seat belts and that the testing company did nothing wrong.
