An accused grifter busted for posing as a member of the illustrious Guggenheim family failed Friday to derail a $10 million lawsuit in New York alleging he tarnished the famed name through a criminal investment scam.

Affiliates of the Guggenheim family told a New York federal judge on Monday that one of the imposters accused of using the family name to commit investment fraud was violating an injunction and continuing to profess a family connection to sell oil interests.
