Temp Agency's $4.5M Wage Deal Nears OK Over Objections
A California federal judge said Monday he'd likely approve Labor Ready Southwest Inc.'s $4.5 million deal with 206,000 employees over alleged wage violations, shooting down objectors who claimed it was a sweetheart deal and saying the suit was likely a "catalyst" pushing the company to improve its practices.

A California federal judge on Monday indicated he may reject Labor Ready Southwest Inc.'s proposed $4.5 million settlement with a putative class of 206,000 temps who claim the staffing agency failed to provide breaks and reimburse expenses, saying proposed claims forms are "unnecessarily cumbersome."
