Avago Technologies US Inc. and STMicroelectronics Inc. on Thursday settled STMicro's suit accusing Avago of controlling a monopoly on the optical sensors used in computer mice by bullying competitors with baseless patent lawsuits.

Avago Technologies U.S. Inc. has moved to toss STMicroelectronics Inc.'s suit accusing the company of illegally acquiring a patent for optical sensors and using it to monopolize the market for the technology found in computer mice.
