TDY Industries LLC will shell out $1.8 million to federal and state agencies to fund environmental cleanup efforts at a California Superfund site and settle a suit over alleged groundwater pollution, according to a consent decree lodged Friday in California federal court.

The federal government and California's Department of Toxic Substances Control have slapped Quaker Chemical Corp., Mammoet Western Inc. and several others with a lawsuit seeking to recover more than $12.5 million in environmental response costs connected to a Superfund site.
