A New York federal judge on Tuesday dismissed Total SA, Total Outre-Mer SA, Peerless Oil and Chemicals Inc. and Trammo Petroleum Inc. from Puerto Rico's suit alleging their use of methyl tertiary butyl ether has or could contaminate groundwater, saying there was no jurisdiction for some claims and that others were time-barred.
