Roche's Boniva Patent Declared Invalid
A New Jersey federal judge on Monday invalidated the remaining patent in Hoffmann-La Roche Inc.'s consolidated lawsuits against Apotex Inc., Mylan Inc. and other generic drugmakers over the osteoporosis drug Boniva, issuing an unprompted ruling that the bone treatment is obvious.

Roche Loses Bid To Block Generic Boniva
Pharmaceutical giant Hoffmann-La Roche Inc. lost a bid Wednesday to block Apotex Inc., Mylan Inc. and other generic-drug makers from releasing a version of the osteoporosis drug Boniva after a judge ruled Roche would have difficulty withstanding challenges to two of the drug's patents.
