Former Innospec Inc. agent Ousama Naaman was sentenced Thursday to 30 months in prison and fined $250,000 for his role in a conspiracy to defraud the United Nations' Oil-for-Food program and bribe ex-Iraqi government officials.

Feds Blasted Over Sentencing Threat In Oil-For-Food Case
A Canadian man who admitted to bribing Iraqi officials to help his company Innospec Inc. secure United Nations contracts ripped federal prosecutors in Washington on Thursday after they threatened to withdraw their recommendation that he serve a relatively lenient 7 1/2-year sentence.
