Bond Insurer MBIA Settles Hedge Fund's Fraud Suit
A hedge fund has settled a class action that accused bond insurer MBIA Inc. of fraud against its policyholders for moving more than $5 billion out of its insurance unit before a 2009 restructuring, the fund's attorney said Thursday.

Judge Orders MBIA's CFO, CEO Deposed In Aurelius Suit
A New York federal judge on Tuesday ordered MBIA Inc. to produce its CFO and CEO for deposition in Aurelius Capital Master Ltd.'s suit claiming the bond insurer fraudulently pulled $5.4 billion out of its insurance unit before its 2009 restructuring, assuring the depositions will not interfere with MBIA's preparation for a separate trial.
