Hotels.com LP on Friday won dismissal of a suit in Illinois federal court by intellectual property holder Civix-DDI LLC alleging the online hotel booking tool infringed two database access-related patents.

Intellectual property holder CIVIX-DDI LLC has asked a judge to disqualify Morrison & Foerster LLP from its representation of Yahoo Inc. in a suit alleging infringement of database access-related patents, contending that the firm improperly participated in a re-examination of the patents-at-issue and violated a protective order.
