A class of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP associates will receive $1.5 million under a settlement that scored a California federal judge's preliminary approval on Friday, bringing nearly a decade of litigation over accusations of Fair Labor Standards Act violations toward a close.

A California federal judge on Thursday certified a class of more than 300 PriceWaterhouse Coopers LLP senior audit associates who say the public accounting firm failed to pay overtime to auditors who weren't certified public accountants.
