Rubio's Restaurants Inc. on Wednesday settled its suit against Nationwide Mutual Fire Insurance Co. that claimed the insurer had to pay for defending the California-based eatery chain in a complaint by a patron who was allegedly sickened after eating the restaurant's fish.

Supplier's Insurer On Hook For Tainted Fish, Fireman's Says
Fireman's Fund Insurance Co. asked a California federal judge on Monday to declare that the costs of defending Rubio's Restaurant Inc. in a suit from a patron allegedly sickened by the restaurant's fish should be covered by Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co., the insurer of the fish supplier.
