Apple Inc. on Friday resolved a pair of lawsuits lodged by patent licensing firm Affinity Labs of Texas LLC, which had alleged that the technology giant was unlawfully using several of its audio system and media management patents in its mobile devices.

A California federal judge ruled Monday that Apple Inc. CEO Steve Jobs does not have to sit through depositions in a patent infringement suit brought by Affinity Labs of Texas LLC against the iPhone maker.
