Homeowners Denied Cert. In BofA Loan Modification MDL
A Massachusetts federal judge on Wednesday refused to certify 26 classes of homeowners who allege Bank of America Corp. mismanaged their requests for loan modifications, saying that, while the plaintiffs adequately pleaded their claims, class treatment is inappropriate because there are too many differences among individual plaintiffs.

BofA Urges Denial Of Class Cert. For Troubled Homeowners
Bank of America Corp. on Friday urged a federal judge to deny certification to a putative class of homeowners who allege it didn't help them obtain loan modifications, claiming the plaintiffs' claims were too varied and that they supported their case with fraudulent statements from former bank employees.
