Revised Audi Transmission Settlement Gets Judge's OK
A California federal judge expressed satisfaction with changes to a settlement between Volkswagen Group of America Inc. and a class of Audi vehicle owners suing the company over allegedly faulty transmissions, granting preliminary approval to the agreement six weeks after rejecting an earlier version of the deal.

Volkswagen's Audi Deal Nixed For 'Onerous' Claims Process
A California federal judge on Wednesday rejected Volkswagen Group of America Inc.'s proposed settlement in a consumer class action alleging that transmissions in about 64,000 Audi vehicles were faulty, calling the claims procedure for class members burdensome and the carmaker's liability release overbroad.
