A Florida federal judge on Friday tossed patent infringement allegations leveled against BMW Financial Services NA LLC, finding that Digitech Information Systems Inc.'s lease securitization patent didn't hold up under the standards set out by the U.S. Supreme Court's Bilski ruling.

Digitech Information Systems Inc. has slapped BMW Auto Leasing LLC and BMW Financial Services NA LLC with a patent infringement suit, accusing the car company subsidiaries of offering services that encroach on its protected method of managing equipment lease derivatives and other financial information.
