    Arab Bank Gets Alien Tort Claims Tossed In Terror Aid Case

    A New York federal judge on Friday cut Alien Tort Statute claims from several consolidated suits accusing Arab Bank PLC of aiding known terrorists, saying a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision had affirmed that ATS claims against corporations are barred within the Second Circuit. (Correction: An earlier story quoted Elsner as referring to the Supreme Court's Kiobel decision when indicating Judge Cogan's lack of available discretion in his ruling.
