A Missouri federal judge on Monday certified a class of Monsanto Co. engineering employees, saying their allegations that the seed giant forced employees to work off the clock without pay carried sufficient weight to warrant certification.

Seed giant Monsanto Co. has been hit with a collective and class action alleging it required automated engineering employees at its St. Louis headquarters to work off the clock and without pay.
