The U.S. government on Friday reached an undisclosed settlement in Missouri federal court with two Wyoming ranchers who allegedly defrauded a government milk distribution program by illegally selling the dairy overseas, in violation of the False Claims Act.

A Wyoming rancher who allegedly defrauded a government milk distribution program by illegally exporting the merchandise lost his bid to escape scrutiny Tuesday after a Missouri federal court found the man could not distance himself from the accusations against his partnership.
