Public utility Hydro-Quebec and the University of Texas said Monday they had resolved their suits claiming battery maker A123 Systems Inc. had infringed patents covering lithium metal phosphate battery technology.

The Board of Regents of the University of Texas System and public utility Hydro-Quebec have dropped China BAK Battery Inc. from a suit alleging several companies infringed two patents for rechargeable lithium iron phosphate battery technology.
