A North Carolina federal judge on Monday tossed a proposed class action alleging Bank of America Corp. denied its retirees a separate retirement account for 401(k) assets, finding that the claims were moot because the bank had already fixed the problem.

A judge has dismissed PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC as a co-defendant from a class action accusing Bank of America Corp. of using faulty formulas to calculate the retirement age of its employees and illegally transferring billions of dollars between its retirement plans.
