A Pennsylvania federal judge sentenced a former Philadelphia attorney on Friday to 60 months in prison for allegedly negotiating settlements without the knowledge of his clients and pocketing more than $1 million he embezzled from clients and the law firm where he was a named partner.

A grand jury on Thursday added counts of ripping off the tax man to an indictment charging a former Klevan & Abramowitz PC personal injury lawyer in Philadelphia with negotiating settlements without telling clients or the firm and pocketing $1 million.
