Sun Pharma Agrees Not To Sell Generics Of Sleep Aid Lunesta
A New Jersey federal judge approved a final settlement Thursday in Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc.'s patent infringement suit against Sun Pharma Global Inc. over its sleep aid drug Lunesta, a deal that bars Sun Pharma from making or selling a generic version of Lunesta before April 2014.

Mylan Settles With Sunovion Over Lunesta Generic Plans
Generic drugmaker Mylan Inc. on Tuesday agreed to a settlement with Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc., ending claims that one of its units' planned generic version of sleep aid Lunesta infringed several Sunovion patents, according to an agreement filed in New Jersey federal court.

A New Jersey federal judge on Thursday found that Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. didn't infringe a patent belonging to Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc. for its blockbuster drug Lunesta, finding that Dr. Reddy's proposed generic version of the sleep aid is chemically different.
