Mercedes-Benz said Monday a proposed class action alleging the automaker sold cars with defective radiators should be dismissed because the woman who filed the suit never owned one of the vehicles in question.

A California federal judge on Thursday dismissed two of four claims facing Daimler AG in a proposed class action accusing the carmaker and Mercedes-Benz USA LLC of hiding dangerous defects in their vehicles' radiators from consumers.
