The U.S. Department of Labor said Tuesday that Kinder Morgan Inc. agreed to pay $830,000 in back wages to employees to settle a lawsuit in Texas federal court accusing the energy company of failing to pay overtime compensation to thousands of workers.

The U.S. Department of Labor has accused Kinder Morgan Inc. of violating the Fair Labor Standards Act by failing to pay more than $1 million in overtime compensation to thousands of current and former employees of the energy company.
