A California federal judge refused Monday to dismiss a consolidated class action accusing MyLife.com Inc. of luring consumers with false claims that "someone" was looking for them and then overcharging them to use a service that never connected them to anybody.

A California federal judge on Monday dismissed MyLife.com Inc. executives and venture capital firm Oak Investment Partners from a proposed class action alleging MyLife.com scams users into paying for a phony list of people supposedly searching for them.
