A federal judge in Washington state has handed the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission a victory in one of its first disability discrimination lawsuits taken to trial concerning bipolar disorder, finding payday lender Cottonwood Financial Ltd. improperly fired a store manager, the agency said Wednesday.
