An Ohio federal judge on Thursday decertified a conditional class of HCR ManorCare Inc. employees who allege the long-term care provider's meal break policy violated the Fair Labor Standards Act, saying the workers' experiences were too diverse to justify the class.

HCR ManorCare Inc. told an Ohio federal court Wednesday that, in light of the California Supreme Court's long-awaited Brinker decision, it should decertify a class alleging the long-term care provider's meal break policy violates the Fair Labor Standards Act, while the plaintiffs argued the decision wasn't relevant.
